MAD ENTREPRENEURS provides financial education, tracking software, and accountability coaching. We are not registered investment advisers, broker-dealers, certified financial planners, tax advisors, accountants, or attorneys, and nothing in this service — including dashboards, AI-generated suggestions, roadmaps, coaching calls, targets, or the community leaderboard — constitutes investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or financial product.

Our coaching helps you organize your numbers, set goals, and stay accountable to them. Decisions about your money — what to invest in, what to sell, how to structure your taxes — are yours alone, and for those decisions you should consult appropriately licensed professionals. We never hold, move, or manage your funds; the only payments we process are our own subscription fees.

Progress metrics shown in this portal (net worth, passive income, "% to Financial Freedom") are calculated from data you or your coach enter and are educational illustrations, not guarantees of any financial outcome. Past progress is not a promise of future results.

Any account balances, credit-card or loan terms, investment holdings, or valuations shown in the portal — whether you enter them or import them from a linked account — are gathered for personal tracking only. Displaying them is not investment advice, tax advice, portfolio management, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, and market prices shown for your holdings are provided by third-party data feeds for reference and may be delayed or inaccurate.

Terms of service

The service. MAD ENTREPRENEURS (the "Service") is a web portal for tracking personal financial progress, operated by MAD ENTREPRENEURS. Free accounts self-enter their data. Paid plans add AI-assisted features and/or coaching as described at checkout.

Your account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything entered under your account. Data you enter must be yours or data you're authorized to use. One person per account.

Subscriptions & billing. Paid plans are billed annually in advance through Stripe. Plans renew automatically each year until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Manage Subscription in the portal; access continues through the end of the period you've paid for. AI-assisted plans include an annual pool of AI credits that refills at each renewal (currently 40/year on Plus for statement import and roadmaps; 10/year on Pro for roadmaps — Pro fills your numbers by connecting your bank instead); unused credits don't roll over.

Refunds. If you're not happy, email us within 14 days of any charge (first payment or renewal) and we'll refund it in full. After 14 days, charges are non-refundable, but you can cancel future renewals at any time.

AI features. AI-generated extractions, line-item suggestions, and roadmaps are drafts for your review — AI can make mistakes. You are responsible for verifying anything before saving it. Documents you upload for AI processing are transmitted securely, processed in memory, and never stored on our servers.

Acceptable use. Don't attempt to access other members' data, probe or overload the Service, resell access, or use the Service for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MAD ENTREPRENEURS' total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for financial outcomes of decisions you make.

Changes. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and continued use after changes means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Privacy

What we collect. Your account details (name, email), the financial figures you or your coach enter (line items, period values, goals, roadmap items), documents you choose to upload (processed transiently for onboarding or AI extraction — not stored, except onboarding documents you explicitly submit to your coach, which are held privately until your coach clears them), and basic usage records (e.g., AI credit usage).

Where it lives. Your data is stored with Supabase (encrypted at rest and in transit) and protected by row-level security: each member's records are readable only by that member and MAD coaching staff. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers.

Connected bank, card, and investment accounts (Plaid). If you choose to link a financial account, we use Plaid Inc. to establish the connection. You enter your credentials directly with Plaid and your financial institution — we never see, receive, or store your login. Through Plaid we access your account balances and basic account identity (institution name, account name, account type, and the masked account number). If you choose to run the optional auto-import, we additionally read the following through a short-lived connection that is removed immediately after: up to 24 months of transaction history (or a shorter recent window for quarterly updates), categorized by your institution, to compute your income and expense averages; loan and credit-card details (balance, interest rate or APR, and minimum or scheduled payment); and, for investment accounts, your holdings (security name and ticker, quantity, price, and value) and investment activity (dividends, interest, and capital-gains distributions). Raw transactions and raw investment records are processed transiently and not retained — we keep only the computed summary (income and expense averages, account balances, loan and card terms, holdings stored as your own quantity-times-price line items, and dividend or interest totals shown as passive income) for you or your coach to review and apply. We retain an encrypted access token (AES-256-GCM), light account metadata, and a periodically refreshed snapshot of your account balances — stored encrypted at rest and updated on a limited schedule (about once a quarter) to minimize how often we access your accounts — used solely to show your net worth, liabilities, and holdings to you and, for coached members, to your assigned coach. We never sell or share this data. Plaid's handling of information it collects is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. You can disconnect any linked account at any time from within the portal; doing so removes the connection at Plaid and deletes the stored token and metadata.

Service providers. We use a small set of processors to run the Service: Supabase (database & authentication), Stripe (billing), Plaid (connections to your bank, card, and investment accounts — balances and account identity on an ongoing basis, plus, only if you run the optional import, transaction history, loan and card terms, and investment holdings and activity through a short-lived connection that is then removed; never your login credentials), Resend (transactional email), Anthropic (AI document processing — statements are processed per-request and not used to train models), Render (hosting), and market-data providers (Finnhub/CoinGecko — ticker symbols only, never your holdings' quantities or dollar amounts). We do not sell your data, ever, and we don't use advertising trackers; the only cookies/storage we use keep you signed in.

The leaderboard is opt-in. If you join, only your chosen alias and your percentage improvement are visible to other members — never dollar amounts, and never anything unless you opt in.

Your rights. You can export your data or ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time — email us and we'll confirm when it's done. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your data (so you can return); deletion happens only on request.
